Paranormal Activity

i liked the ending, theres a debate over which ending is best out of the screener and theatrical versions but i think i prefer the screener.

oh my, she was hideous:confused:

I watched this last night with hubby and made sure all lights were off. If I had seen it in the cinema the loud bumps would definately have made me jump out of my skin. I definately thought it was frightening and it shows that you don't need lots of blood and gore to frighten people. Interesting ending. What was scarier was after effects as i kept waking up last night and scaring myself as kept thinking I heard noises.

Definately one that plays on natural human fears.

Watched this last night at midnight in bed in the darkness. It took me an hour to get to sleep and I woke up about 4 times!

Its got a slow start, but once it gets going it really does build perfectly. I saw the screener ending and I think I prefer it to the cinema ending (which I have read about). To me, horror is scarier when its left to the imagination what is going on. I think the screener ending accomplishes that perfectly. The only part of the film I wasn't too sure about was the bit with the ouija board. Just seemed a little clich

Watched it last night in a big old deserted building, wind howling and doors banging with the draft. driving rain at the windows.

Scared the bejesus out of me! Just glad I avoided all the hype, my friend gave me the copy, and that was the 1st I had heard of it.

Best scary movie since Blair Witch. Once you see the baddie in these kind of films, thats the end of any tension for me.

9/10

I was the same :D Just seen the film and there were definitely some lol moments but I didn't find the film scary in the slightest. The ending was a bit creepy and unexpected, but how people can this is the scariest film of all time I have no idea

snore-fest. nothing really happens and the ending is pretty lame. You can't convincingly make people believe its a true tape anymore, after the whole Blair Witch Project, so the text at the beginning and end doesn't make it any more believable.

Ending was a huuuggee anti-climax. Some scary points, but no where near the scariest movie of the decade.

I guess it just depenRAB on the individual! Myself, I'm scared of anything to with ghosts or 'paranormal' (White Noise freaked me out, and still does) ... hence to say, this film **** me up!

watched the screener version last night, I thought it was pretty good. Whilst it didn't scare me as much as I thought it was going to, it was none the less an effectively creepy film.

As someone who has experienced what could be interpreted as paranormal activity, I could really relate to the characters dilemma of what to do in this sort of situation, it's not like you can just pick up the yellow pages and call ghostbusters and its hard to try and asses just what will resolve the problems or make them worse - so it was good that they covered that issue so well, making the film feel more convincing.

Looking forward to seeing the other cut of the film.

Its a good film and gets very odd at the end but I didnt find it scary in anyway, I mean half the time i was smiling at them when they was scared and when she got dragged i was laughing :P

Well put! I also usually get creeped out with ghosty stuff - but this was pretty lame. I've seen more scary stuff 'acted out' by the Most Haunted team.

The last 'big scare' when the guy is thrown towarRAB the camera was good... (it actually put a smirk on my face after I jumped) but it seems that this was shown in the trailer!

A truly frightening film.

I'm lucky I watched it alone and no one had to see me cowar away or have me latch onto them like a big girl.

Great experience.

I saw this night and what a disappointment

I wasn't scared. Im not scared now. It did send shivers down my spine but me and my mates plus the other people were laughing more than anything

The bit where she was dragged down the stairs had us all in hystrerics. I can't take that movie seriously and to think this has been labelled the scariest movie in the long time. What a joke.

I watched this last night alone in the dark and it did spook me. It was good at building up the tension and mostly stayed away from any Hollywood nonsense. The cinematic ending is quite poor in relation to the original ending I personally feel, but I guess they need to think about sequels

Just seen it at the cinema - awsome film. Not the most scary thing ever but manages to blend jumpy bits with laugh out loud moments very well. Will be playing on my mind all night now no doubt.

The whole cinema was jumping and laughing on cue - every time it switched to the night position looking at the bed you could actually hear the whole cinema getting nervous!

Apart from the one annoying loudmouth chav directly behind me who talked loudly behind me about how shit and nit scary it was all the way through everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

It's not full of gore and monsters and CGI - so just watch it and let your imagination wander!

I found it more funny than scary. The problem was you could guess what was going to happen. Most of the people in the cinema were laughing at it.

I think it would have been better if I hadn't seen the trailer as it gave too much away.
