Paranormal Activity

Loved it, it scared me so much I couldn't sleep last night just so creepy I mean ghosts are scary anyway but in this it's more a demon or something, and the ending omg just shocking.

I strongly recemend this film 9/10

Its not scary, but its very unnerving, a bit slow to start but once things start happening then its very good - the first bit that struck me was

The paw prints in the flour !

I liked the fact it took place entirely within the house (and porch) perfect scenario for a low budget feature - very clever.

Has most people seem to agree her being dragged off the bed was a major jump moment but so for me was

The Ouija board bursting into flames - suprised more wasnt made of that

The eeriest parts were her standing for hours by the bed with him blistfully unaware asleep

As for the ending (I watched the Screener and have read of the other two - yes there are 3 endings ) I did not expect that - definitely the best ending imo

im bricking it

dunno if i should go sleep now whislt toehrs are awake or watch a happy go lucky flick like americna pie and thent ry to sleep, but then ill be only 1 awake in a silent house

arghhhhhh

Hey guys

i watched Paranormal Activity this morning and OMG what a film it is, this film is the scariest thing iv'e seen, i would recommend to anyone who likes horror films:eek:

I'm off to a late night staff showing of this at the cinema tonight (hubby works at the cinema) I've been itching to see it for ages so I hope it lives up to expectations.

I want to be scared! :D

I watched this last night and i've gotta say that i was a bit disappointed.

The film wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't a scary as it's been reported, and it didn't live upto the hype.

The part when she was being dragged across the floor had half the cinema in stiches!

Two things that really got to me were
1) Why did they sleep with the door open every single night??
2) If she was that scared how did she managed to get to sleep at night. I'd have been sat up shitting myself :p

I'm sorry but i thought it was crap and I normally love horror films. I genuinely think I've seen scarier episodes of Family Fortunes than this, it was awful. The ending was so awful that practically everyone in my (rather full) screening was roaring with laughter at how bad it was. I don't see how anyone could find it scary, in fact, for the most part, it was dull.

If its as "scary" as [Rec], I'll pass as I've seen scarier Tom and Jerry cartoons.

If it is as psychologically unsettling and disturbing like Session 9 then I'll be there.

I am very easily scared by spooky and/or horror movies and actually don't enjoy them at all. I got peer pressured into seeing this with some frienRAB and it freaked me right the f**k out.

1) They had to leave the door open as they wanted to catch whatever it was on camera, I'm assuming they kept the door shut before they started filming themselves overnight.

2) As you could see by the end, she wasn't sleeping very well at all, as she was becoming more and more irritated over the lack of sleep.

I watched this last night at the cinema - needless to say I didn't sleep very well last night!

Cinema was fairly busy so unfortunately we had to endure the immature people giggling or shouting "boo" in the quiet bits which ruined the tension. Didn't really make me jump but it made me gasp and come over all shivery in certain places. Kinda glad that I watched it at the cinema first and not at home, think that would've freaked me out even more!!

At the end, I heard some people say it was sh!t but I enjoyed it. 7.5/10

I just watched that ending online, so much better than the one I saw! After the initial jump most people in the cinema just groaned. I really want to see the third ending too, but will have to wait for the dvd.
Though now we all have Paranormal Activity 2 to look forward to.

I did enjoy this to an extent but there were some things that let it down as a frightener.

I think I am more scared by the intangible and once something really tangible happens then it sort of lets me off the emotional hook.

So for me I was disturbed up until
the burning ouija board
which was far too tangible for me. Its like the original Candyman film that really spooked me until the monster appeared and then, once you know what you are dealng with it becomes a bit ho hum.

From the Ouija board on I was in my comfort zone, especially when it started referencing
The Exorcist and Karen Black in Trilogy of Terror.

If I'd made this film on the money they had though I think I'd be pretty pleased with myself, its a nice little scarer.

I went to see this up cinema last night with a group of frienRAB and whilst the 3 girls loved it all 5 blokes thought it was boring. Probably would've been scary watching it home alone in the dark but in a crowded cinema it just weren't frightening at all for me. I'll give it a group average of 4/10
