paranormal activity- uk release date ????

Word of mouth in the U.S. have been tremendously positive and it will most likely be the most profitable independent movie in film history. It only cost $11,000 to make. Over the past month it has been released in a very limited amount of theaters. But so many people have demanded to watch it that they're giving it a widespread release across the country.

I'm very curious to see how it does in the UK.

I got to see it at Revision 3's San Francisco screening of it last month, it was without a doubt the scariest thing I have ever seen.

I know it was with an US audience, who are usually less reserved than us but the reaction were just like the ones in the trailer, can't wait to see it again on 27th.

I've just finished watching this movie and it's VERY similar to "Blair Witch" but the happenings are much more frequent and scarier.

I can't say I enjoyed it because I found myself looking over my shoulder when the slightest noise arose. I'll have a hard time sleeping tonight.

Really enjoyed this movie, some good scares and freaky scenes, just found out that the screener that was leaked has the alternate ending, different from the one shown in cinemas,i really wanna see the original ending now as i didnt really like the screener ending.

Just watched the screener and i can't believe the hype this film got! Like i speculated above, it's a modern entity, and very like Blair witch, but if this is the scariest thing you've ever seen, you're easily scared.
The trailer showed the guy getting thrown across the room and it didn't happen so i'm also going to hunt down the original ending. It's all bumps and bangs and made me jump a few times. (i watched it alone, turned up and with the lights off) Any film that does a loud bang when it's quiet is going to though! Sure it's going to make much more than it cost to make (which looks to have been about a tenner) but the 'scariest movie ever' is just bull. Blair witch is far scarier and imo they missed a trick with the house setting. I mean why didn't Mika wake to find that she wasn't there. Go round the house with his (awesome) camera and end up looking up at the dislodged attic opening. venturing up there to find her cowering right in the corner? Why wasn't the ouija board explained? I know it was all intentional but it just felt unfinished. I need to see the other version to be sure, but i'm left thinking it was jumpy for sure, and the bit where she was dragged off the bed made me spill my brew, (if that was me i wouldn't have been able to shout Mika for fear:eek:) but it isn't going to stay with me like Blair witch did. :(

Just seen it, and thought it was pretty good. Saying it's the scariest movie ever is a bit excessive, but everytime the camera cut to that view of the bedroom and the dark hallway i immediately felt tense. I can totally understand why the American audiences in the trailer are crapping themselves. I can't wait to see that again with my friend, he's not really that good with jumpy films, so this one will have him hitting the roof!
The bit that really got me was when the chandelier thing moved, the sharp intake of breath sound and then the bang freaked me right out! Same again with the shadow creeping along the doorway whilst they slept.

I'm now dreading having to turn off all the lights and wander upstairs in the dark!:o lol.

Saw this last night and it really freaked me out. I'm 26 years old and was too scared to fall asleep, kept hearing the heating pipes and stairs creaking. I would recommend you watch this with someone.

I don't really beleive in Paranormal goings on, but it didn't stop my mind going into overdrive! Makes Blair Witch look like a nursery story!
