Paranormal Activity 2

this looks so scary :o the 1st one scared the crap out of me and this one looks even more scar:D anything to do with ghosts with me is scary i dunno what it is but all paranormal stuff is creepy:o

cant wait to see the 2nd one, is it a different couple/family this time

Has anyone else notice that some scenes from the trailers are not actually in the film i.e when the woman appears at the door in the babys room but in the film itself that is not in the film. weird.

Off to see this tomorrow, can't wait.

Watched the first one alone on dvd at night, and had to wait till the morning to watch the rest of it as it scared me so much.

Hope 2 is just as scary.

i thought the film was much better than the first one. films dont bother me and make me scraed to sleep like with some people lol. but it definatly made me jump a couple of times

I am getting a good vibe from this one to be honest. I only saw the first one to see whatever everyone was peeing their pants of being scared of. Although i laughed more. Yet this one does look genuinely good and possibly a bit scary.

Just got back from seeing it, and i liked it, but i still prefer the original, although PA2 does come close. I think it'll be a better experience watching it at home as it will get inside your head more (the original is definitely a freakier experience at home).

The bit that made me jump the most was easily the kitchen scene where all the cabinets fly open, i think everyone in the cinema was on the roof at that bit!

Overall its a surprisingly good sequel, i'd recommend it:D

I watched this without seeing the first one and I enjoyed it very much (although I did watch most of it through a crack between my fingers :D:o)

People actually screamed at certain parts, and near enough the whole cinema laughed when
the dad said "what, did it climb out the pool itself" and then the video shows that it pretty much did, and when Hunter was being dragged up the side of the cot. Also when the dad's neck was broken.

I think the shots of nothing happening for a long time were really effective in building up the tension and catching you off guard. I found myself scanning every detail of the room to find something.

One of the scenes that freaked me out the most was
when you can see the dog fighting the demon off screen and then you see the dad carrying it out of the house and its legs are just dangling. I should really have been more freaked out by the people dying, but I suppose I'm just weird that way.

I wondered this myself, as I've seen the extended trailer and alot of the bits in it aren't in the actual film.

There is a scene where Hunter is crawling outside in the middle of the road.
Another where Ali is watching TV and Katie is just standing behind her.
Another where Katie is just standing in the doorway to the en suite in Hunters room.

Me and my frienRAB watched the first one pirate on a laptop and laughed all the way through it, even though we'd been told by even men that it was the sh*t scariest film they'd ever seen. We just put it down to it being alot scarier in the cinema.

Saw PA2 the other day in the cinema and again, laughed. It's far from scary, it's just stupid in parts and alot of the people in the cinema were laughing again also.

It did however, leave you on edge in many parts. I particularly liked the ending when

the screen goes black for about 5 minutes and you're just waiting and waiting for something to jump out, and then the credits roll

I liked the story to this but still don't get how it's meant to be one of the scariest films ever, it's a bit jumpy and that's it. I didn't know before I saw it that it was a prequel to the first one but would like to know

Where Katie and Hunter were in the first one, or is the original one meant to happen somewhere in the middle of PA2?

I'd give it 8/10 for story, 5/10 for scaryness and I am one easily creeped out by such things.

IMHO, these films would be amazing in 3D as they're soooo jumpy.

I reluctantly watched the first one expecting to regret it immediately. These kind of movies really aren't for me. I did watch in the middle of the day but i was quite surprised that i didn't freak out anywhere near as much as i was expecting.

That said, i think i'll give the second one a miss. If there wasn't children involved i'd probably brave it.

Eclipse is a 12A and I dont think they should be showing this kind of Trailer in a Teenage Movie.
Many people know that the fans are KiRAB and Teenagers and some Adults. But showing Paranormal 2 Trailer during Eclipse is not right.
They should have shown it during another Scary movie.

There was nothing special in it. It was just another sequel of the previous waste of 2-3 hours. 2 of watching movie, 1 of explaining it to others that it was not good.

Wanted more to say: I didn't get some things like when
They burned the photo
but as we left my girlfriend reminded me that in the 1st film Katie and Micah found the same
Photo
in the loft. When the maid came back in the 2nd film doing her stuff clearly
The devil then swapped to Katie

Yet you failed to explain why you thought it wasn't good in your post:D

To be fair, if you thought the first film was a "waste" then I don't even know why you'd bother watching the sequel as the trailer pretty much shows it's going to be more of what the first film was about.

Personally I loved it. Enjoyed it more than the first and there were certainly moments where I felt like I was going to have to leave, NEVER been that scared at a film before

the thing with this film dont expect it to go into the action straight away, the film uses our OWN imagination thats what makes it work cause you see nothing but the stuff the demon does is SCARY, when your watching it you know somethings coming but it still makes you jump.

I hope there is a No.3 theres alot they can do with this as a franchise, i mean for one any type of these films scares the crap out of me :p so bring on more Paranormal Activity :D
