Paranormal Activity 2

Are they going to let the critics see it so they can review it? I've been looking forward to seeing this, the viral campaign has been very clever, but this is starting to smell like The Avengers. Hope i am wrong.
 
Showing previews today. Anyone going to see this?

I've read a couple of reviews and most are positive saying it's a much better film than the first. Better acted and much, much scarier!

Going to watch it tonight at an 18+ late showing (11pm). I watched the original again last night and it still manages to creep me out, so if PA2 is even worse with the scares then i'm not expecting to get any sleep tonight, lol.
 
I can't wait for this, I just hope I get a good fellow audience at the cinema when I watch it.

Everyone I know who hated the first one had an audience full of teenagers laughing and taking the p*ss, whilst everyone I know who loved it (including me) had a cinema where the entire audience when completely silent whenever the "Night #X" came up on screen and kept the atmosphere from the film into the cinema screening.
 
Oh god, that scared the living daylights out of me lol....The first one was super eerie didn't sleep properly after watching that, the actors were very good and so believable, that I thought they were a real couple....I am guessing that room will be the central focus as the OP mentioned and the woman appears to be possessed or in a trance like state how Katie was in the first PA, they must have purposefully did the whole leaving the baby in the mirror but it isn't in the cot....I'm guessing this a young family with a dog who may have possibly moved into Katie and Micahs house, the spirit is going to harrass this family maybe?!....I hope they don't ruin it like SAW, that should have ended that at 3 no more but glad the franchise is coming to an end....Bring on PA2....xxo
 
i loved the first one and even though it didn't scare me alot i still think it was something different and if done right this film could be everything the first film needed, the dog and the baby seem a good storyline , if you listen to the trailer then you can actually hear the ghost speak near the end of the trailer, it mutters something like who are you? then theirs a pause and then it says HUNTER!

I enjoyed it, I thought it was as good as the first. It is very much like the first movie in pace and setting but why fix something that wasn't broke.

In one particular unexpected kitchen scene, I don't think i've seen everybody collectively jump in the cinema before.

But I really didn't find the first one scary. I ended up laughing at a few bits when I felt I probably should have been afraid. Maybe I should have watched it at home alone rather than at the cinema?

I wanted to like it - I like the idea behind it, but I felt it relied on being really quiet for a while then a loud noise too often.

Hopefully the 2nd will be better - the trailer looks quite cool.

Will watch it when it's released and see.
 
Just back from it, really enjoyed it! Better than the first imo, but cant say too much without spoiling it, but the storyline was very clever, and some genuinely spooky moments.
 
Watched this tonight too.... I need someone to talk to cause I ain't sleeping tonight.

PA2 is much better than the first, if you do watch it allow yourself to become attached to the characters and you'll really enjoy it..

Also - Star of the film is a PoolCleaning Robot
 
I had to laugh. Twilight is far from a kiRAB movie. It's rated 12. When it comes to breaking dawn, it will be a 15 when they see Bel and Ed get it on.

Maybe it can scare some sense that the movies suck and r-patz can't act.
 
just seen it i didtlike it i find these movies very annoying there just not for me i guess.

but being a horror buff i just have to see every horror

i did jump at the cabinet kitchens bit but i didt find the movie at all scary ill sleep just fine.

i found it anoying haveing to see every single camera angle over and over again every 5 or so mintues.

the 1st was ok doing that beause well its the 1st we dont fully know what to expect

but with this i did so it anoyed me alot more
