Papercuts

Why the feck do they hurt so much?! I know they're like a clean and precise cut, but for the love of God and all that is Holy...

Also, how is it that when you actually TRY to avoid getting a papercut, it always happens? Seriously. You could roll around naked in a thousand reams of papers and come out scratch-free, yet when you try to shuffle around a pile on your desk it looks like you got yourself into a tangle with a feral cat.

And how about those cardboard cuts, anyone ever gotten one of those? Jagged and bloody. I'd rather step on a rusty nail and get a tetanus shot compared to ever getting another one of those again.

Papercuts seem to bleed forever as well, sheesh.

Because Mulder seems to have missed this

Papercuts hurt so damn much due to the high number of nerves that cluster in our fingertips.

Certain parts of our bodies have a higher degree of nerves (tongue, sexual bits etc). Injury to these parts always feels worse as their heightened sensitivity makes it so.

That's why I always cringe when I see images of nipple or penis piercing. Holy shit you need nerves of steel to sit through that!!!!

They hurt also because you get paper fibres stuck in the wound. Rather than being a ripping injury which is pretty clean, they are more like a crush-wound. Ow ow ow.
