I want to buy a few books from Amazon and I don't know if i should go with paperback or hardcover. I'm confused here.

Paperback:
Lighter + Easier to hold + Cheaper + Easy to damage.
Hardcover:
Heavier + Expensive + Hard to damage.
Oops, sorry for my spelling mistake.

Hard cover books look good on your shelf, yes they are long lasting because their binding is strong.Mostly bought by collectors, social misfits and voracious readers. They are difficulty to carry around.

Paper backs are best for casual readers who travel a lot, anorexic girls for their light weight.

i prefer paperbacks the a better size its awkward trying to carry a hardback round since i read on the bus or train a lot its better to have a paperback.

I usually go paper cause its cheaper. But if they are like novels, you should buy a kendal or whatever. The electronic books!

I am all for paperbacks, unless I am buying an old book as a collectors item.

I LOVE the wear and tear that a paperback takes on. Creased spines, dog eared pages, fraying covers, to me that tells a story within itself. I enjoying folding pages to mark my place. I LOVE the feel of a well worn paperback. It feels “right” to me.

I am hard on books. I take them with me everywhere. To me there is nothing better than opening up a beat up book. I usually buy used, so if I only get one or 2 reads out of it I am not heartbroken.

Hope,

Paperback and Hardcover are usually two different prices. A lot of time a book will first come out in Hardcover and then go to paperback. These books cost more. The paperback version when it finally comes out is maybe 6 or 7 dollars cheaper.
