Panic Room

Just rented Panic Room last night, really good thriller from start to finish.

Would recommend people rent this, Jodie Foster puts in a superb performance.

Yes, panic room is probably one of my fave films this year. Don't know why really, just love it... i saw it when it came out in the states, then saw it at the cinema twice, and now have it on DVD

The thing is, i dont even like jodie foster really!

i wanted to c this for ages, but missed it at the cinema....it was as good as i thought it was gonna be, but a bit violent in parts but still really good.

Got it sent to me on Thursday and then watched it last night..... great film! Loved it so much that I watched it again this morning. Highly reccomended.

Loved it too. Both the storyline and the special effects were very original, something that is quite rare these days.

I'm getting this myself via Ipoints, and can't wait to see it again.

How does the DTS track sound? Also, I'm a little dissapointed at the lack of extras, apparently a two-disc special edition is in the pipeline though.

A commentary track would have been nice

woah! just rented it and its really cool Bit slow in parts but i love the tension in some bits especially when she tried to get her phone!!!

Also, is this a new breed of movie? The artistic camera movements, i thought that was really cool

Loved it, but then again I loved all Fincher films apart from Alien 3.

Must admit, I thought the DTS on this was outstanding. I don't have many DTS discs, but it really is better than the standard 5.1.

Finally saw this tonight. I must say I thought it was only average. I would bunch it with the early 90's thrillers such as Single White Female, Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Basic Instinct. It certainly wouldn't warrant a second viewing. One question though:

Why didn't she just open the panic room door to call the police from her mobile (which she has just retrieved) when the 3 intruders were arguing downstairs at the bottom of the house. With her daughter watching the screens to warn her if they came back upstairs she had at least 4 or 5 minutes in which she could have done this ?

Panic Room was just Home Alone for adults.

I reckon his best film was The Game. Much more enjoyable.
