Feels odd asking if I had panic attack when I have panic disorder and agoraphobia :) but since Ive been staying home for four years my full blown panic attacks are rare. I usually have heart palpitations like when I lay on my left side when going to bed but even thats rare but trust me I do have plenty of anxiety. I keep my anxiety low by not doing anything. So, my question is this. Today I woke up and rose out of bed and was talking to my wife and I was putting my shirt on when my heart starting going 1000 mph. SounRAB like panic huh? Well I also felt like I had to cough slightly.

I waited a second to see if it would stop but it didnt so I sat down and I was getting the flight or fight thing were I wanted to run or call 911. Then it went away. Id say after a minute total. AfterwarRAB I felt shaky and nervous like with anxiety but man its been a while since Ive had all that so because I have anxiety do you guys think it was a panic attack. Becuase you know with anxiety you always feel like youre dying so thats why I ask.

An for those wondering I do have panick attacks but mine are usually mild and my agoraphobia is simply because of my fear of having one when I go out.

SounRAB a little like the feeling I have gotten recently, the past week. I get heart/chest pains. Faster heartbeat, I get dizzy and blured vision sometimes.

It made me feel better to get ekg and all the tests. However it sounRAB like you controlled it very well.

Mine was Anxiety Panic Attack.

Good Luck

After running to the ER a few times and finally recognizing what a panic attack is I haven't had one in almost 2 decades.

I still have bouts of anxiety though.

I've been where you were, to the ER that is.. about 7 times in the last year. Heart racing and feeling like I was about to die. An awful feeling! Then I had a bout of Virtigo.. and thought for sure that was a stroke.. lol. It was not it was true classic Virtigo. Panic attacks are NO fun. I'm still learning to control mine, and it takes a ton of effort.
