Panasonic Lumix FS3 has anyone had problems with memory card error.?

Did you format the card when you first got it?

When was the last time you did format it?

The work-flow should be thus.

* format your new card using the format feature on your camera.
* at the end of the day, copy all your image files to your computer.
* once you are sure that all the images are safely on your computer, format the card.

This will prevent card corruption.

My guess is that you have only 1) memory card and 2) are in the bad habit of deleting images from your card to make room for new images. This is the number one cause of card corruption.

All you can do now is STOP using your existing card, buy a new one, format it and us it until you can buy an image recovery program like Lexar's Rescue4 and attempt recovery of your images. Once recovered and copied to your computer, format that card.

It keeps telling me to reformat due to card error. Not willing to do that as it would mean I would lose all my pictures. If so did you manage to resolve the problem to your satisfaction?
I feel as though I've had a rap over my knuckles. Ha! However, that will teach me to read in the instructions in future. I will be a good pupil and thank you for the subtle reprimand. Valuable lesson learnt today.
