Palm TX will not respond to the use of the stylus.

I'm new at this and bought my palm with no manual or instructions, so I have had to muddle my way through everything. I thought everything was fine until I turned it on and got (Sys 0505)(0,841) error. Nothing works like it should and can't make it recover. I've done several restarts with no results. I have heard of a hard restart, but don't no how to do it nor the consequences. Any ideas for this old man?

A hard reset should do the trick. Its a matter of holding the power button, using the reset button on back, and then releasing the power button. I'm assuming it is a new device with no additional software loaded. The hard reset would wipe the device to factory settings.

Not sure why you're getting that error but if your TX's touchscreen isn't responding, are you using a screen protector?

If you are make sure it isn't sitting between the edge of the case and the screen as this puts pressure on the screen which causes that spot to be picked up as being "tapped".
