I recently purchased some palm sugar from the store which comes in tablespoon sized chunks. Looking closely at the chunks, there are tons of fibers sticking out. It looks like they were dried in cloth and took some of the cloth fibers with it. Is this normal? I'm sure they won't hurt me, but it doesn't make the palm sugar look too appealing.
