palm pixi owners!?!!?

ok so I have the palm pixi with the original back and on the back it has a rubber covering which comes off. Not the back itself I know that's supposed to come off but the rubbers coming off the plasti and the guy thqts helping me is like "i sell a ton of palm pixi's and they never do that ..you must have damaged it" and I'm the most careful with my phone...it makes me so mad..please tell me I'm not the only one this happens to and oh if yoi have this phone and it's happened what did you do or get to stop it? Thanks
