Hi,
Can anyone help. Turned on my PC today to find that Palm InstallShield Wizard was asking me to register my device. I did this when I first got my TX a few months ago. I tried opening the Palm desktop icon and nothing happens. I tried to Hot Synch and the Log says:
HotSync operation started on 03/12/06 10:23:03
HotSync Error: An application cancelled sychronization or failed to respond to a HotSync notification. Please ensure that you are not currently editing data using applications such as Palm OS Desktop or Install Tool. (8009)
HotSync operation completed on 03/12/06 10:23:03
Has Palm been uninstalled from my PC? Why would this happen? The only problem I had with my PC last nite was that Windows Media Player didn't shut down correctly. I didn't use my Palm desktop or hot synch last night.
Should I simply re-register my product and install Palm again using the CD. Will this recover my old data? Or will I have to start from scratch again?
