palm centro

did you try ##diag# and turn on data/diag and ##877# and turn that one to at the same time. i dont have one but i will get my hanRAB on one and check it out

it's POS so i'd guess it should be done like a treo...meaning that you'll prob have to find a cableless flash with cdma firmware updater(try treo700p thread)...or you would have to get a serial cable or build a special usb cable...i am just guessing at this but will be flashing one tomorrow so i'd like to get a heaRAB up first...also to read the treos you have to the phone in passthrough mode as indicated above...

keep an eye on this thread...you answers will likely turn up here first:

there is a cricket gangsta that is going to post on this after he gets web working...he only has the voice and text and is not going to give it up util it's a full flash.

I think I figured out web on my Centro, which I have had active and working on my cricket accont for a little over 2 weeks. I can't test it til morning, as it seems I thought I had it on my second line, but I guess I do not, and it was too late to hook it up.

One thing I am excited to try, is that it looks like the Centro supports EVDO Rel. A. This is based on ##PREV showing:

PREV 6 = EVDO Rel. 0
PREV 7 = EVDO Rel. A

How does one know if they are using EVDO 0 or EVDO A? Besides a bandwidth speedtest, of course...

Has anyone used EVDO Rev. A yet on *any* device on cricket, and if so, what market(s)?

beezle-

i checked out a lot of customer devices and all say Authentication Failed...i guess we still don't have it here in H-town...

i tried what you told me about what driver to use for the centro and it didn't work...i did however get it to connect how you said, just no driver...

i haven't had time to do anything and won't until after the new year...i'll be off until then.
