Palm Calendars

Please help! I have a question.

I'm looking to buy a palm but I need a specific thing on the organizer/calendar feature. Does anyone know which, if any palm, displays the calendar in a way where you can see and entire week or a month at one time? ...to where you can see the details in a whole week on one screen? Is there a model that has this feature? Basically, the same type of format as a real planner.

Thanks!

All devices running PalmOS5 will show an entire week and month at once in their calendar. However, showing the details for every entry in that week or month is silly because the screen is just too small.

Thank you so much for your response!

So, I completely understand how showing the entire week or month details would be silly, but I have a question.

What DOES it should then? You said that it will display an entire week or month on the screen, but what then does it show?

I wanted to buy one for a gift for someone, but I know that is what they wanted on the calendar display. Maybe showing a whole month would be excessive, but there's not one that shows an entire week? Or is there one that shows maybe some detail in the week? or do you have to go to that day to see? and is there one Palm version that you'd recommend over the others? Or are all the calendars the same?

Sorry, I know this is a ton of questions, but I appreciate any feedback you can give me!!!! I think this would make an AWESOME gift!!

Thank you so much!!

In Month view, the Palm shows an entire month as shown on a printed calendar with symbols to indicate whether each day has appointments. Tapping on any of the displayed days woll take you straignt to the Day view for that day where you can see the details for the day's appointments.

In Week view, the Palm shows 7 days with solid bars indicating appointments. The length and position of each bar corresponds to the time and length of each appointment. Tapping one of those bars causes the Palm to show the details for that appointment. Tapping on any of the displayed days woll take you straignt to the Day view for that day where you can see the details for the day's appointments.

All Calendars are the same on PalmOS5 devices. Your choice of device will depend on what other features you want/need. I would recommend a Palm Tungsten T3 because it has a large heap and therefore can run larger programs. Go for the TX if you want Wi-Fi.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your response!

I appreciate your time in giving me feedback. That is exactly what I needed to know. I've seen a palm calendar before, but I wasn't sure if they were all the same or not. Sounds like they are.

Thanks again!

Agendus and Datebook are two programs that will greatly enhance your Palm Calendar experience.

I prefer Agendus over Datebook 6 because Agendus is more of a Contact Manager (can be complex) whereas Datebook 6 is truly just an enhanced Calendar program.

Both allow you to use icon's to see your appointments in multiple views and both will come with trial versions so you can try before you buy.
