if i understand correctly, the ottomans didnt really care what went on there and it was pretty peaceful for a while
 
I am not a jew or anti-muslim. I meant in the modern sense, specifically in pashtunistan, where Imams straight up brainwash youths in madrassahs with a radicalized and corrupted version of Islam that certainly does not reflect the prophet's vision.
 
....why can't we just settle down and have peace and kindness for one another? Ultimately it comes down to what type of family you're born into and what "religion" you followed when you were younger. What sucks is that no one side will settle down and come to peace because deep down inside if you're Muslim, you're going to have your beliefs & you're right & Christianity is wrong. If you're Christian or a Jew, you believe you're right & anything to do with Muslims is wrong no matter what. It sucks that people can't show what their respective faiths teach; love and respect for everyone equally. I'm a Christian but I understand what the Muslim faith teaches and have respect for those who practice and believe in it correctly. It's beautiful, but I know that they're wrong and I'm right because that's just what I believe. By that same standard, I'm sure there is a well educated Muslim believer who feels the same way about Christianity.

Are you interested in the conflict in general, or one particular time period or subject within that umbrella? There are many good books on the subject out there, but they are generally fairly narrow in focus.
 
I honestly can't decide who I despise more. Israel and Palestine can both suck my dick and it would be in the best interest of the world if both nations would just die.
 
The argument was never about who had it first, it was about how the Israeli's acquired it.

Sure the Palestinians may not have the most sophisticated weaponry, body armor or tanks. But they do have something the israelis will never have. Heart. Palestinians actually have something to fight for and defend, where as israelis are fighting just because they are selfish, greedy bastards who insist on STEALING more land from the Palestinians.

It is actually pretty sad and shameful that with the full backing and assistance of the most advanced country in the world and all the weapons they could ever ask for (which will never be enough because they are jewish) israel is still having a difficult time stealing land. I guess killing innocent people isn't too hard though...
