Painting teen girl room - color scheme?

Everything in my room is going out and im going to re paint it. Im going to have a black bed as the frame and I know i want my furniture to be black. But I dont want my room to be so dark so im relying on my walls and accessories for my room to brighten it. I just need a color scheme for my walls that would be nice. But no pinks or reds, or oranges. Something nice and mellow.
 
maybe a nice green...you could always make your walls black and make HUGE green polka dots or WIDE stripes...or just random designs, then maybe get a bedspread that you like, it doesn't matte what color you pick, because black goes with everything!
 
I would go with a color a little lighter then Navy blue or a color a little lighter then a Forest green. You definately don't want completely Navy blue or completly Forest green because they would be too dark with black furniture. But if you go a little lighter, the walls and furniture should compliment each other well :-)
