If I am painting a room with half the wall a dark blue, and the rest white (both flat, water based), is it necessary to hide the dark blue with white, or primer, before painting with dark white? I have heard that the discrepancy between the dark base and the white base is not noticable enough to bother, especially if I do 2 coats of the finish color (dark white).
