As of right now, my bedroom walls and ceiling are hot pink with black strips. When i painted the stripes, i bought the wrong kind of black paint and got semi gloss. Now i want to paint my room WHITE, of all colours, and i believe i am going to have difficulties with the black semi gloss stripes. The stripes are about a centimeter thicker that the pink so i was thinking i should sand the edges down but im not sure. What would be the best solution for my dilemma?

pole sand everything (powersand if needed to make it even) paint with white primer, pole sand again, fill patches to hide the imperfections and sand them after, and after this do the first coat, pole sand again, and finally give the second final coat.
if it doesn't cover then give it another coat.
i hope this solves your dilemma. happy painting

thare is a paint cald kills and it is made fore covering dark pant use that as a under coting
and a primer will help a lot to keep the colr true
