Painting cars and body kits?

While repainting a car, and we have a new body kit to go with it, do we need to put body kit on first, then get the car painted? Or get the car body and the kit painted seperately? also... do they remove anything that might have old paint underneath, like taillights, and sand off and paint what's underneath? or do they leave the lights alone?

Can we choose how we want to get the car painted? because i dont want to have old paint underneath the body kit and taillights, because i would assume if they sand one part and leave another part with the old paint, and then paint the sanded part with a new color, the two places that the paints meets wouldn't be very strong.

And not to mention if ever in a car crash, and some parts fly off, revealing the old paint, that would look somewhat embarassing, not saying that a car crash isnt embarrassing enough, lol!

any suggestions? thanks
oh and not to mention the insignias and emblems on the car, should we remove those and paint underneath them? then replace them if we can? or get new onse we cant put it back on?
