Painters got paint on my car, and apt. manager said that they would pay for

fix, now they won't answer phone It cost $125 to get the paint of my car. The apartment manager said she talked to painting people and that they would send me a check in the mail. It has been almost 2 months since the incident, still no check. Apartment manager said company told her they sent the check. She gave me the guys number and he won't return my calls. What is the next step to getting my money? Who should i contact now because i'm pretty sure they are avoiding me
 
I would write a letter or go to the place of buisness for the painters, and try to talk to them at least twice. Document the times you went to go try and settle this, and if this fails, get a police report done on the situation, and talk to an attorney about escalating this matter to court as a civil case. Don't wait too long to do this though... it would be wise if you could get a picture of the paint left on your car. good luck
 
sorry but someone is FLOATING the money.

thus, you must sue the paint firm, in
small claims.

Make sure the apt mgr will be a witness OR
it becomes a case of he said, she said.
