Paint problems - White 848/1198

I wouldn't accept it either (should He shell out the cash for a proper paint job?)...that's not even close to right.
Not trying to talk shit but i've never seen any other brand have this issue..correct me if i'm wrong. I'd expect to get laughed at if i presented this to my friends, as my new ducati which is known for it's quality build and design..except the paint doesn't match.. at all lol. But hey it only stalls at every second set of lights so that makes up for it.

take a very close look at anything with a pearl white in it made by a japanese company... the one I KNOW of off hand being suzuki... they fairings? Are Not even painted... its a sticker... VERY much easier to get a sticker to match when your talking a pearl color... So Thats why you don't see the paint colors off on that... anything painted with a pearl color... there is bound to be some variance on it... I didn't think it looked all that bad in the photo shown... might be worse in person... but I know for a fact that all the truck makers that make a pearl color white truck.. Any Cap or Fiberglass cover isn't garaunteed to match due to the extreme difficulty in color matching the pearl paint... Ford's "White Chocolate" they call is it a tri coat pearl with three layers... its understandable that there is room for error....

Mine is pretty even shade wise on the bike itself, but the cowl is very minutely off, and only in a certain light and angle. Pretty happy with it overall, but I do have a red one which seems to not have that many color matching problems

I was at the dealership the other day and they had a new white bike in the showroom; either 848 or 1198, I don't remember. The color on the headlight (upper) fairing was obviously different than the side fairing. It was Saturday (and they were very busy) so I didn't have a chance to ask about it.

ETA: There were two white bikes on the floor; an 1198 & 848; both 2010 bikes.

AWWW Paint Smaint it just adds to the Ducati mystic. Tell all your friends that each piece is individually hand made and painted by a different Italian. That makes it seem much cooler.

I have a white 1198 and the seat cowl if off for sure but nobody notices and as you can see I'm pretty quick on the upkeep got an excuse ready just in case.

Now Go Ride!!!!

Yeah, that must be it. I mean no motorcycle manufacturers can match colors properly, right?

And who cares if your bike looks like it was painted by high school students, like you I leave mine out on the street all year round tied up to my goat.

I'll just probably get a spray paint can and fix it myself, shouldn't be that hard, right?
