Pains in throat and neck

Hi all, i have been suffering from pains in my throat and neck, they also seem to go into my ears on occasion, there doesnt seem to be any pattern or triggers and the position of the pains move a lot, my doctors says its stress, but i cant help worrying that ive got throat cancer or something like that.

Has anyone else duffered from similar symptoms?.

You might want to try posting on boards relating to back problems or spinal cord for some results. Do you have any problems with hands, arms or other areas? Post in detail there if you do.

I have many cervical spine issues that cause throat problems. I was sent for swallowing test (for tumors etc) twice and cancer was not an issue. The pain you are experiencing resembles problems I have in C2-3 and perhaps occiput areas which control ears etc. This I learned on these boards.

Posters will probably tell you to get MRI to see what's going on in there. Be cautious about how you proceed when being told that stress is totally responsible, although stress can be a factor, and needs to be addressed.
