I had a bit of a scare recently due to pins and needles in my arm. Thinking it might be a heart attack starting I rushed to hospital, only to find out it is compression of the 6th & 7th vertebrae in my neck. The doctor ruled out pins and needles as a sign of heart attack, but told me that the symptoms for a heart attack would be severe chest pain, like a Samurai wrestler sitting on your chest. Then the pain moves up to your chin and then down your arm. My best mate recently suffered a bad heart attack at a very fit age of 50, and one of the symptoms he told us about afterwards was numbness in the arm. Hey I don't want to scare you and I am no doctor, but it may be worth getting a second opinion or having a full medical.
