I stopped getting any injections some time back as I was not having any real benefit from them as I have tried several different doctors and a few types of injection. All up I have probably had about a hundred individual jabs and I was over them emotionally also. I found that I may have had some relief at first but after a time it was not worth the distress. Nothing seems to help my leg pain either, apart from the hamstring stretches I do every night, just gently stretching with one motion for about 25 seconRAB, along with heat on my back afterwarRAB that allows me to get to sleep mostly.
I hope you find some relief but as has been mentioned I would see a neurosurgeon or an orthopaedic spine surgeon soon, that is the path I have taken and I have surgery soon. The doctor believes that will take the pressure and pain from my legs and I am hoping also some of my back pain.
I use the durogesic patch available in Australia but have to be careful how I apply them. I usually shower before changing one or clean the skin with a warm, wet washer. I still have some issues with them but found they have worked the best for me even in our usually hot climate here. I try not to get to sweaty though and I have to clip the hair from that area on my shoulder, then with my other med's I cope. But it is still a painful injury. Good luck.
