Help! Excruciating Back Pain****
I am 23 and have had excruciating back pain for the past 2 months. I have had lower back pain/cramps off and on for 8 years and been on birth control. It never got to the point of excruciating. I went to the dr 2 months ago and she did an ultrasound that found a small ovarian cyst. She said it is so small it should not be causing all of this pain. I went back last week for a follow up, the pain is constant, does not go away and we scheduled a laparoscopy for 2 weeks. She thinks it may be endometriosis. I have never known endo to cause to much pain that it effects everyday life, everyday! I am in so much pain each day. Today, I just happened to look at my back and found a small swollen mass right above my buttocks. After speaking with my mom (and freaking out) she said it sounds like pilondial cyst, my dad had one many many years ago. Maybe this is the source of all my pain? I'm going to regular dr on Monday. I am just in so much pain, I'm so young, and just want to know what to do! :)

Until you are your doc on Monday first try a heating pad. It sounds like you are very inflamed, heat works great. Also try lieing on your back slowly bring your knees to your chest pull slowly towards your chest you are stretching your lower back muscles this hopefully will give you some relief. I am not in the medical field just have back and hip problems. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I feel like I live with my heating pad on it. My dr prescribed pain pills back 2 months ago and I don't have anymore left. I have been taking naproxen, because I too think there is an inflammatory or something going wrong. I just don't know if I need to go through with the lap or not. Just praying for an answer!
