The HIDA scan might be a good idea...esp sine oyu are having nausea as well. Though I do understand they are tough to get in England...evidently it's not used a lot there.

I've been having very similar pain for about 6 months. I want an MRI, but no one decides to give it to me regardless of how much I ask. I had a HIDA scan done, but supposedly everything is alright with my gallbladder. Please let us know what the doctors tell you.

if your pain does turn out to be to do with your muscles i have been told to try prolotherapy. they also think i have got ibs. i have been doing a diet for 4 days and have slightly improved. 75 percent of your meals has to be soluble fiber...like..pasta rice noodles fresh white french bread carrots ect other 25 percent should be normal fiber...

Thank You for your insight and letting me know about the prolotherapy. I'm young like you (24) and I'm actually looking for some kind of cure. I would have to look more closely at this prolotherapy thing so I can find out if it doesn't do more harm than good.

As for you, if you even suspect that it is your gallbladder, maybe you should get the HIDA scan.

I def. don't hope I gotta deal with these things for 11 months. This is all putting a stop to my life. I think I need an MRI and a liver biopsy (just to make sure, and these seem to be low risk). But the doctors don't seem to be willing to write me a referral for these tests. I'm in NYC by the way, so if anyone has a lead, please message me.

I also would like to know how your pain came about. Mine came about randomly, but I was doing some different jogging and push-up exercises beforehand (2-3 days before). I feel like something has shifted out of place or something is not where it should be. What were you doing in the days leading up to you feeling pain?
