PAD...what do you go through with that?

Think Again

My sister thinks she may have mild PAD (if there is such a thing) She is 45 yrs. She says that there is just an "area" on one of her legs that gets a numbness feeling even though she can feel everything when she touches that area so I am wanting to know for those of you who have it or had it, what did you experience and do for it?
Thank You for the info.

PAD usually affects both legs. One numb area may just be a pinched nerve. Where on her leg is this located?

I had problems with both calves, pain while lying down, light cramps, and numbness here and there occasionally. I was checked for PAD and found not to have it. I also have alot of back problems, and know that any problem with the spine can cause numbness in areas of the legs. If you look at a picture of the spine and the nerves coming out of it, you can see what area of the spine affects that area of the legs. This may help in figuring out where the problem is coming from.

I forgot to tell you I also had trouble standing or walking for long without pain in both calves. I believe PAD causes pain in both legs when a person is up too long and has trouble walking or standing for very long, I know I did, which was why I was checked for it, and my problem was found to be caused by my back.
