Manny Pacquiao is naturally smaller than other lightweights such as Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao started his career at 106 pounds, and when he fought Hatton, he weight 138 pounds and 142 pounds against de La Hoya on weigh in. Meaning he did not reach the maximum limit of the Jr Welterweight and Welterweight. Pacquiao thinks a catchweighgt of 145 is way too close to Cotto's weight, who is a known bloater, who can easily gain 15 plus pounds after the weigh in. Pacquiao for sure will not even make the 145 catchweight, he might weigh maybe 140-142 and will weigh possibly 15-20 pounds lighter than Miguel Cotto if they fight at 145. Mosley on the other hand is willing to drop to 144. I know its only 1 pound difference, but it does matter in boxing a lot! Pacquiao's attorney Gacal stated that they are now leaning in negotiating with Mosley, given to the fact that there might be more money involved as well, as Mosley have had better payperview buys just a little bit more than Cotto. If there is more money fighting Mosley, you bet, Pacquiao will fight him instead.
