I play Sims 3, and I have the base game, High End Loft Stuff, and I recently got Ambitions. I tried to get the latest update which just came out for Late Night (1.17 for the base), but I couldn't - every time I tried it said "package verification failure." So I uninstalled Ambitions and I tried with just HELS, and it still said package verification error when there was just about 5% of the installation left. So I tried to reinstall Ambitions, but the base game was a more recent version than it, so when I opened the launcher it told me to update the game. I tried, and it still had a package verification error. Now I can't play the game because my Sims have jobs that are only possible with Ambitions, and they are in Twinbrook. I tried disabling custom content and mods, but it didn't work. I don't want to have to reinstall the whole game, plus I don't think it will work - but I will if I have to. Does anyone know of a way to fix this without reinstalling everything? I am using a Mac, by the way, and I've had the game for nearly a year and it's always updated fine before.
