Just for fun...
What would you think of a Geared Turbofan Pratt & Whitney PurePower engine mod for the existing 757 fleet. The PW1400G will likely be rated up to 32K Lbs. so only a slight increase in thrust would be needed.
New avionics and a weight reduction program might also be needed.
Please feel free to speculate.
