P.S. I love You.....

Went to see this last night...and cried...lots.

I LOVE the book, and thought it was a shame this steered so far from it, however it's a decent film in it's own right. I think some bits were great, others not so great (in relation to the story I already know).

But not a bad attempt.

I would agree with that. I really enjoyed, laughed out loud in some places. I liked Lisa Kudrows character.

If that was you crying then last night in the cinema, I apologise, sincerely..............

Someone infront of me started crying at the end but because it was really loud & very snotty, I started laughing which then turned into the giggles. It kind of ruined the end (me laughing, not the crying!) as I couldn't stop laughing. :o

The most annoying thing is three years ago I scripted and just finished filming a film about a woman who passes away from a terminal illness...basically her and her partner used letter writing to tell each other how they really felt...so by the time it gets screened in May it will look like a rip off of 'P.S. I Love You' when in fact the first time I'd heard of this film existing, or even the book, was during the shoot before Christmas...damn! haha

I've just got back from seeing this and a cried more than once. I loved the book and although the film was slightly different I still loved it.

I went to see the film, and cried all the way through. It had some really funny moments as well though. Thought that Lisa Kudrow was good in it, as was Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank. I fell in love with Butlers character!

Was surprised because the critics gave bad reviews, but I thought it was fantastic, then again the critics have been wrong before! Will definitley be getting this on DVD.

As always, if you've read the book you won't find it as good. I love the book but thought that the only character they really got right was Denise (Lisa Kudrow). Saying that, it was a good film in it's own right.
Some real laugh out loud moments and some bits that make you cry.
I like it. Gerard Butler is yummy!

I went to see it at the weekend with my other half. Not my cup of tea but ten minutes in she started crying, and didn't stop until the end!

Harry Connick Jr was good in it though.

I have now read the book and seen the film. And i admit reading the book and watching the film its like 2 completly different things entirley.

Although i admit i like both book and film.

I would probaly watch it again, and i did cry watching the film. As it was sad and funny :)

After watching it on monday i did fall for gerard butler.

His accent wasn't the best though, but i put that to him being scottish and trying to do a irish accent.Although with the american tang coming through i just assumed he was trying to run it out due to him being in america for so long. But i did enjoy it
