The sequel has been talked about for some time and one of the things that the studio was deciding on was whether to make a family-friendly sequel (Josh Olson script) or a dark, twisted version of OZ by Todd McFarlane (based on his line of toys).

It seems that the studio decided on the "family-friendly" Olson version instead. But the funny thing is that the stuido then said that they want a slightly darker version and asked for a rewrite. Typical Hollywood suits. They don't know what the hell they want. :p

I remember the sequel, first time of watching I hated it but re-watched it recently and liked it. It had one of the Blue Peter presenters of the time in it. Think he was inside Tick-Tock.

I've desperately wanted to see the original sequel Return to Oz for ages. The idea of a light fluffy film like The Wizard of Oz getting such a dark sequel intrigues me.

This new upcoming sequel sounRAB a bit pointless.

This sounRAB to me similar to that Tin Man mini-series that was made a couple of years ago. I would love to see a remake/new adaptation of the original Wizard Of Oz story more like the books and dark like it was intended to be. :)

They should do a trilogy based off some of the books, make them huge, dark (when it neeRAB to be) and brilliant, DON'T make it modern day or a pseudo-sequel. The Judy Garland film is set in people's minRAB, of course, but that was done in an 'oh it was all a dream' way and there can definitely be a new version of the original story.

I loved the 80's "Return To Oz". The Wheelers still freak me out.

Not keen on the original Wizard of Oz though, it's all just too colourful, and happy and singing. yuck!.

Return to Oz is brilliant - obviously darker than the original, but fantastic all the same...
The Knome King and the witch who had loaRAB of different heaRAB used to terrify me!

And I loved Tic Toc!!!!!!
