I dont run LX from a card either, but many of the other programs, I do. It is only some of the programs (the ones with large footprints) that take a while to load. It is certainly something I can live with, especially for the added assurance that if the Tx crashes, I still have most of the programs accessible on my card. In addition, I keep a current TX backup on two different cards. One with me at all times, and one at home, just in case TX with the extra card gets lost or stolen. One trick I taught myself was to copy my "Palm/Launcher" files from the primary card to my desktop, and then just paste them to the other two backup cards. That way, even if a card goes bad, I just pitch it and load one of the other two, do a restore, and I am totally current except for any calendar entries I made since the last backup. That too, I can live with in an emergency. Hope this helps, or perhaps too much info.
