ovi store application not working on my nokia 5800?

i used to use the ovi store application to access and download applications. it stopped working suddenly and now the only way i can download content is to go to the actual ovi web page. i have tried reinstalling it, as well as reinstalling the phone's software and rebooting it. but as soon as i try to open the application it freezes on the "OVI" screen that comes up before the application starts, anyone got any ideas how i could get this fixed?
 
I have exactly the same problem. It stopped working on the old software, and i tried reinstalling it with no difference. then i installed the latest software and it still doesnt work!
