Overuse of Awesome?

So, there I was watching Kung Fu Panda on HBO to refresh my memories of the movie when all of a sudden this thought hit me when Po shouted "Awesome!" for the hundredth time:

Is there an overuse of the word "awesome" lately in animation?

I ask this since it pops up not only in KFP, but in Bolt as well (which I disliked, but that's another story) - "Awesome!" is, like, the most-often used word by Rhino the Fanboy Hamster.

So is it just me or is this a trend?

(And yes, I am aware of those Egoraptor Awesome Shorts)

I haven't really noticed an 'overuse' of the word per se, so much as it's just become commonplace amongst those sorts of characters. Rhino and Po more or less fall into the 'enthusiastic fanboy' catagory, and it's become sort of a calling card for that archetype to use such words in order to accentuate that geeky (if that's the word) enthusiasm, I guess.

I don't know, hasn't the word awesome(along with others like "Radical!", although that one's died down a quite a bit) been overused ever since the Bill and Ted and Wayne's World days?
