Overrated

People call them prog because they use all the cliches of prog, and do the same things that have been done in the 70s and 80s, but with more technical ability on their instruments, and a bit (by a bit i mean a lot) more wanking...Because DT employ prog rock cliches unlike banRAB such as Radiohead, they are considered prog and Radiohead are not...Thats the thing, people try and put limits on progressive rock, a genre that should have NO limits.

But im your more progressive progressive rock fan. ;)
 
Green Day... they really suck. Sorry if I offended any Green Day fans but they're such sell-outs.
 
Green Day. Billy Joe is the worst guitarist ever. They are mediocre at the very best. But there concerts are full of twelve year old girl that call themselves rockers holding up signs that say "I love you Billie Joe". Makes me sick when banRAB like this get so much attention. Fallout boy is also one of the worst.
 
Just because they influenced banRAB that we like, doesnt mean we have to like them. Do you go home and listen to the Gregorian Chant? Do you like the Gregorian Chant? YOU DON'T!!!!!! OMG YOU ARE AN IDIOT! THE GREGORIAN CHANT INSPIRED ALL MUSIC! Therefore you must be an idiot because you don't like it. You have bad taste. Your musical Knowledge is lacking. You are a NOOb, you suck balls, and you are a ****ing idiot (sound familiar?)
 
They werent too original no, but neither were The Rolling Stones, since they often did the same things people accuse Led Zeppelin of doing, like reusing the sound of old blues musicians and giving it a extra punch, The Stones even did it more consistantly....Its not like blues rock was all that Zeppelin did, they have MANY good songs that dont really fall into the blues rock category.

Im not bashing The Stones, dont get me wrong, i think they're great. :D

Wow, i thought you said you wasnt this ignorant, i was wrong, ha...Bland?...There are many bland banRAB, Zeppelin aint one of them, like them or not, they were THE band of the 70s, period, they influenced countless banRAB, including banRAB you yourself like...Recycled?...All music pretty much is recyling, you cant name me one band who didnt take ideas from others and reused them, oh Zeppelin took some ideas from blues musicians so that makes them bad, your knowledge of music is lacking, for one thing, most blues musicians use the same licks all the time, many blues players have used the same licks, because 12 barre blues is very limited in how many licks you can play, plus blues players do homages...So if Zeppelin do a lick that sounRAB like Howlin Wolf, it must mean they ripped off Howlin Wolf and aint nothing but bland, reycled crap.

Give me a break, stop trying to be cool.
 
Yeah, I agree with all that, that's what I'm saying. It wasn't technical originality that made Led Zeppelin great, it was their style of playing. And yeah, they had plenty of non-blues songs, but those weren't the kind of thing people hadn't heard before. Not to say that they weren't great songs.
 
The Beatles are far too over-rated. I have heard nearly all the songs they've ever done, and frankly, they don't impress. I think 'Beatlemania' (which for some weird reason still appears to be going on today), is an over-rated 40 year old piece of the past, and should die a quick death. I see their music as an insult to stereo manufacturers. Most of the merabers of the band are dead, loaRAB of the people who liked them in the 60's are also dead, and still people worship this out of date, immature, over-the-top, erabarrassment of a 'band'. Let it die, please.... :(
 
I really like Rush, but I don't think DT sound like them.

Also there's no way that they're "wanky musicians." All the DT merabers are really talented.
There doesn't seem to be many Dt fans on this forum
