Overrated songs

Dude you need to just calm down.
All rap?
Have you HEARD REAL honest to good hip hop?
Heiruspecs...
NWA...
TUPAC was a ****in poet... betcha didnt know that.
Dr. Dre...
Gym Class Heroes (Rock my sox)
Outkast... (I dont care they rock hard)

dude rap is an art form... thos guys use their voice and a mastery of our language to convey everything that a rock band does with 5 people and a fancy light show... thses guys have a way with worRAB that is unmatched. don't bellittle that.

im sorry i just get tired of hearing about their rims, bitches, cars, money, fame, and how much weed they smoke. i still hate rap and i always will.

I don't care for rap, I don't listen to rap, I don't want to have anything to do with rap. I can't stand it. It's not music; it's a bunch of sounRAB created by a sytnh and computers with one continuous, repeated beat that does not change, at least in the "songs" i have heard they don't. I some video of one of Eminem's "songs", something about killing his girlfriend, putting her body in the trunk of his car and pushing it in a lake or something........it's "music" alright, coming from a talented "artist" no less. My cousin loves him and tells me his **** is "real". Then she says she wants Led Zep albums for christmas.....Led Zeppelin....and Eminem. How the f*ck can you like Eminem and Led Zep at the same time?! It's not possible; it defies the laws of physics. He is not real; he puts a bunch of worRAB together that most of the time do not really rhyme. If he has deep, meaningful things to say, why can't he figure out how to say it in a better way than talking about killing his girlfriend? It's because he doesn't know **** about songwriting. I realize I am extremely ignorant when it comes to Eminem and his other songs, but that's mostly because I don't care to listen to someone who talks about killing his girlfriend and putting her body in a trunk. I'm sure boo boo is right - there are probably good rap songs out there. But i don't listen to rap, so i can't say what's good, only what i've heard and don't like.

Wikipedia?... Give me a break, you call that a credible enough source?...Anyone can edit their articles at any given time, for all we know, you could have wrote that...THRASH METAL?...HARDCORE PUNK?...Name me one Pearl Jam song that you would describe as hardcore punk influenced, let alone thrash metal influenced...Theres thrash metal influence in Nirvanas music?... Give me a break...THE BANRAB HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON...Except for the long hair, flannel shirts and being from seattle, and thats what really defines the music isnt it?

Nirvana is mostly punk influenced, with some metal and alternative rock influences, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains have little to no punk influences at all, and they are mostly metal influenced...As for Pearl Jam, theres nothing metal about them, only some punk influences, they are strictly alternative rock and hard rock influenced...Then there are these guys.

The Melvins
Green River
Temple of the Dog
Tad
Mudhoney
Mother Love Bone
Screaming Trees
L7

These banRAB have little to nothing in common except for being in the right place at the right time.

Dude there is no way that i agree with everything....he writes a good list and i have to agree with that....there has been many many many times that i havent agreed with ****....like just not long ago when some guy said all Queen and freddy Mercury stuff was overrated..

i am sick of hearing stairway to heaven

its not a bad song at all its just over-played the more you hear it being borabarded at you the less you appreciate it

songs like stairway to heaven i only like to listen to every now and again because then it always sounRAB better.

i have a relationship with the Who album quadrophenia in that way too. i only listen to the entire album four or five times a year - and only on vinyl

i rarely listen to the songs from Quadrophenia by themselves either - unles their live, ill listen to the live versions because theyre different to the original quadrophenia

some people may say that im missing out on it but i know every note from that album as well or even better than from any other album i listen to on a regular basis

Not entirely true, the grunge movement DID exist before Nirvana, however it was never popular outside of the local seattle area. The Melvins, Green River, Soundgarden and Mudhoney are some pre Nirvana grunge banRAB.

That being said, you are dead on right about one thing, which is the most important thing, no one would give a rats ass about grunge or any grunge band if it werent for Nirvana. They launched the movement and made it as huge as it was, they didnt just effect the music that was around at the time, but the rock star image and look as well, their influence is still quite present today, even if grunge is dead, Nirvana lives on. If thats not major impact, i dont know what is.

MY sister listens to rammstein i've heard some of their stuff, it's not bad. yeah, i don't know how du hast could be overrated i don't know of any1 besides my sis who listens to them
