Overplayed Rock Songs

Ah, that'll be why then. I've only recently got I'm your Man and Death Of A Ladies Man. Maybe it'll sound better in the context of the album, I often find that songs on Youtube can seem out of place. If both recorRAB turn out to be as good as his first 4 I'll be happy :D

Man, I'm glad I don't live in Canada then. 50 percent?

I do like Rush but they're overplayed here as well. I take it your classic rock stations are dominated by them and Bachman Turner Overdrive?

Meaning there are some exceptions. IE the workplace. The only songs that have ever followed me round are Kings of Leon Sex On Fire/Use Somebody and Lady Gaga Just Dance.

King Crimson, Floyd, Genesis and countless generic Proggy Math rock I care to remeraber. I remeraber talking to you a while back about my lack of love for Progressive Rock.

This is how I always thought about it. I've said it before, but there is plenty of good music coming out these days. I'm sure some of it will be considered highly in the following years.

Haha another genre you don't get, eh? Every time you say things like this I get the urge to try to get you into it as much as I can. What trip hop have you heard? There is actually quite a variety out there.

I kinda like that song actually. It's a stupid but fun little song with a memorable hook and also it has the most hilariously terrible guitar solo of all time, of which always has me giggling a bit. I guess you can call it a guilty pleasure.

In addition to the aforementioned Aerosmith I have to mention Foreigner. With the sole exception of Double Vision, Juke Box Hero and Blue Morning, Blue Day which are pretty groovy songs, I despise pretty much every single this band ever put out. Don't even get me started on Urgent.

Yeah... it was shit. I want a better on

It's only Prog rock I dislike, and Trip-Hop I don't get.. I think those are the only genres really.

Urm, Gorillaz, Portishead, Bjork (even though she differs from trip-hop, but there's definitely some there.), couple of others that I can't remeraber.

After like.. Four years, I still say the most overplayed rock song EVER, has to be Unwell by Matchbox Twenty. I swear to that god I don't believen, there isnt any escape from that song.

No Massive Attack? Portishead would admittedly be hard to "get" for trip hop newbs...Gorillaz and Bjork are not trip hop. If you are up to it check out Mezzanine by Massive Attack. If that does anything for you we can talk more in the trip hop thread.
