Overplayed Rock Songs

It's strange how many people have listed Stairway to Heaven. I've never ever heard it once, and I listen to the radio a lot.

Most Metallica singles are overplayed. Especially the ones from the Black Album.

^ They are supposed to be sick live, although their audiences are apparently quite rowdy.

Besides the usual Stairway, Bohemian, Teen Spirit and Sweet Child, I would also add:

Coldplay- The Scientist
Kings Of Leon- I don't know what the song is called actually but it's so goddamn overplayed
Foo Fighters- The Pretender
Black Sabbath- Into The Void.
Radiohead- Creep
Muse- Undisclosed Desires, Uprising

I think Snow Patrol are a little like Coldplay for me - they're on the radio all the time, but I'd never be able to actually give the name of the song being played.

Not as folky. I love some traditional folk, I guess it has more of a band sound to it? As opposed to the minimalistic stripped down sound. I'll most probably give both albums a listen tonight.

Yeah, I've heard Massive Attack. They're the most obvious ones, can't believe I forgot them. I listened to the album with some kind of bug on the front.. Just don't get it. Gorillaz are surely Trip-Hop aren't they? Alt.rock/Trip-hop

They maybe have some trip-hop inflected songs but I wouldn't call their overall style trip-hop.

I'm sorry to hear you don't "get" that Massive Attack album (Mezzanine). I think it's one the best albums of the 90s.
