Nope, eMule is a good p2p application. in fact through the eDonkey2000 Hybrid the eDonkey & Overnet networks are merged. I preffer to use Overnet since I get a lot better download speed in less time there. But eMule is great too for older things, incl. eMule can't connect directly to the Overnet network. The eMule developers would need to reverse engineer the Overnet protocol to make that possible.

I too am working on a "Lite" installer for eDonkey2000 Hybrid 0.52 ;)
 
I was having the same Pro.dll problem one guy was having earlier. He was told to download a "fix.reg" from a site. The site is no longer up. Is there another link to the file?

to be honest the best advice i have ever givin any body is to share PORN, everybody wants porn, any time i want files or i check my uploads its porn, i have been downloading porn i have not even seen, just so my overnet speed stays high :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
I FIND THAT OVERNET LITE HAS SLOWED

previously when i downloaded files with atleast 15 sources with overnet lite i used to get 9-12KB(my connection permits only that).but now i find that it has slowed.i tried files with 255 sources also.all of them give 2-6 KB and rarely go further up and their speed varies a lot.MAYBE EVERYONE IS USING OVERNET.so the speed may going down.IS ANYONE ELSE FINDING THIS.PLEASE REPLY.

Muscleman! Do you remenber when you use the loader to start overnet, at the begin it has high DL speed then amazing slow, but if you touch mouse or keyboard it will get back with high DL speed. I find and test this kind stituation many times.

Tmpj, Musleman, and I, installed a special keylogger in Olite, and we now have all your money, own your car and house, and have your GFs and wives working the streets for us.

Plus, we now own all you bases.

That was a false positive, now fixed in the latest virus defs put out.

Your firewall would alert you if a keylogger was trying to gain access to a remote CPU (you do have a software firewall, don't you?).

Please... THINK before jumping out the window.

The application itself sounds nice, I might add it, but the problem is that VideoLAN is required to get it 100% useable, I could include that too, but it would make the file be over 5 MB. I think I'll write a readme witch reffers to it. But thanks for the link, I apreciate your help VERY much! ;)

The term used by the loader it will make people mistake. Edonkey/Overnet have UL/DL ratio below 10KB/s UL. For Example, UL/DL ratio is 3/9 4/12 5/20 6/24.....
And Edonkey/Overnet can't Zero UL, even 1K UL, system will stop it. Only Emule can do it. It just break the ratio and banner.
There is another loader come from same author of Overnet loader, Muscleman post. It can work with Edonkey2000 v0.50.1, not for v0.52.

It turns out that it isn't. I don't want to uninstall it though because I don't want to loose my partial dl's.
Ahh I forgot that I had my Overnet incompletes dl in the incoming folder for emule. Well I uninstalled the program then found out that I didn't need to because Symantec released an update to correct the issue. I reinstalled Overnet.

I havn't tested it on Windows 98/ME/2000, but since 2000 is a lot like XP I'm 99% sure that it works on it.
Windows 98/ME is pretty much a whole universe different than 2000 & XP so I'm not sure there.

I also forgot to tell you that even though Overnet is showing you a banner you don't get ANY sort of spyware installed, I don't know if you wanna call this adware, but since it doesn't give ya popups I think it doesn't matter that much.
