I have '96 Toyota 4Runner, and it overheats A LOT, and there is thick white smoke coming out of the tail pipe, the floor would become hot, and the smoke coming out of the tail pipe would smell also. I am trying to figure out what the problem may be. Any ideas?

Agreed, that white smoke is all of your water being burned instead of used to cool the engine.

i'm afraid it sounds like you've blown your head gasket and possibly cracked your head itself or engine block. this is a very expensive repair that costs far more than what your SUV is worth.

pop the hood and open up the coolant reservoir. if there's alot of thick black oil in it. then it's your head gasket.
