Overdrawn???!

WFT?! I got a letter on Sat, wich my mom did not tell me about until today, that said my account was overdrawn on a $7.00 check to RHA. Wtf? I wrote that check 2 fucking months ago! (On 4-3-2006) The fucking school sat on it for two fucking months. (Cashed on 5-31-2006) I am so fucking pissed right now. :reddevil: I called the bank on 5-22-06 and my balance was @ $9.02. The check should have been covered. I called the bank and after 10 min. of a run around with their stupid "for bla bla bla press bla" system. Now I have a fucking blance of -35.96or something like that. :motz:

This is not the first time I have had trouble with TCF Banks. I had to re-order my checks twice because they kept screwing them up. They have addressed all my mail to Bush City, which is not where I live. I don't even think there is a Bush City in Minnesota.

I also talked to a friend of mine who went through TCF banks. She ended up closing her account for the same reason I am going to close my account.

I accounted for the fucking $7.00, I don't fucking bounce checks. I'm very responsible with my money. Sure, I spend, but I account for it too. I'm going back to cash only. I am so pissed. I want to hit something, or throw something, or fucking kill something.

To top it off, my mom said that's what I get for keeping my blanace so low. Well EXCUSE me miss, You can't have a job in school because your job is school. How the FUCK am I supposed to keep my balance up if you don't let me get a job, you won't let me buy a car so I can get a job off campus, and you don't send me money OR my bank statement so that I know how much fucking money I have?! When I wrote that check I had almost $300 in my account. If RHA hadn't sat on it for two fucking months I'd have had the money for the fucking check. FUCK EVERYONE! :furious:

I'm still supposed to be on my parent's tab, but I've paid for all my own stuff since I was 15. My parents haven't even bought me shampoo in years. Fuck that.

magnolia that sucks! I had the same problem with a local bank and I had to use my own records to prove to them that I was not overdrawn, and after a few Weeks, they relented and dropped the rediculous "Overdrawn charge". If you have any records at all maybe you can get them to drop it. I've had to fight various banks several times, and like you, I just can't keep a "cushion" of money in there for just in case. Good luck!

Yeah, I called and bitched at them and told them that I shouldn't be overdrawn. They just said there was nothing they could do and that was it. I have to pay for it.

Yep. I think I'm going to go back to a savings account and cash only. No more checks. It's a pain in the ass, but at school they want cash for everything anyway.

You could always use online banking procedures to pay bills and what not too. I have a setup that takes $75 out of my savings every month to pay for my rent.
