Overrated:
Spongebob Squarepants
Family Guy
Recess
King of the Hill
Ren and Stimpy (doesn't appeal to me at all, and neither do any of the cartoons it influenced)
Futurama - I do like this series (like it a lot, in the case of some episodes at least), but I don't think it's quite as clever as some people make out. I still have plenty of time for it, though.
Underrated:

Stressed Eric (laugh if you want, I still think the first series was hilarious!)

Most overblown wanna-be epic features(the general public agrees - those things bomb)

Under shadow? Ed Edd and Eddy is, imo, the best cartoon you can find on the TV currently

SpongeBob SquarePants (Easily the stupidist show ever made, how it has so man fans is beyond me.)
Avatar: The Last Airbender (I'm expecting tons of flame for this one. Anyway, I pick this as the most overrated, considering the fact that it takes the oldest story in the book, and doesn't add anything new or interesting to the table to make it acceptable, at least IMHO.)
Naruto (Offically made orange my least favorite color. I'm gonna kill this sad excuse for a ninja, believe it!)
South Park (Used to be a fan, but it's been on thin ice since season 4. "Cartman Sucks" was the final straw for me. Wake me up when he comes out of the closet.)
One Piece (Watching the sub, I was bored to tears.)
DCAU Wave 2 (IE, Teen Titans, The Batman, Legion of Super Heroes)
The Angry Beavers (Aside from one episode, I never really laughed at this one.)
Futurama (Don't get me wrong; I love this one, even more than Matt's other show, but I dispise hearing everyone saying that it was a crime to cancel it "so soon", when they say that the ZIM fans never shut up.)

Overrated (IMO):
Naruto- Fun for a while, but turned into generic shonen fodder. It also has an annoying fanbase.
One Piece- I tried to get into it several times, even with it's awful dub, but I just couldn't. I will try it again though when the new dub starts.
I find many shonen anime that go on and on, generally overrated (i.e Yu-Gi-Oh and DBZ)
Scooby Doo- The same thing over and over again, yet people still watch it. Never liked this one.
Ed, Edd, n' Eddy- It's creative (I guess), but it never appealed to me or entertained me.
Danny Phantom- It's an alright show, but it's not that great.
American Dragon Drake Long- Never appealed to me. I always found it to be stupid.
Spongebob- It's entertaining though.
Family Guy- It can funny sometimes, but when it's humor fails, it's really embarrasing and unenjoyable.
South Park- Same as Spongebob.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force- Never appealed to me. I dislike the visual aspects of the show as well.
Most Disney creations
Underrated (IMO):
Fillmore- An intelligent kid's show that never caught on.
Juniper Lee- Often compared to American Dragon, but I found it to be more enjoyable.
Rocko's Modern Life- Clever show, I didn't even understand some of the jokes until I was older.
Rahxephon- Often compared to EVA, but it excels in some parts where EVA fails.
Manabi Straight- The loli-esque look of the show makes some people turn away. But it has a strong message of friendship and growing up.
Kino's Journey- An anime that makes you think about the world we live in and the different kinds of people who inhabit it. KJ is simply fantastic.
Honey and Clover- Such a wonderful show, but not many people know about it stateside.
Kaleido Star- The best Gonzo anime. More exciting than any typical action anime. The stunts are incredible.
Princess Tutu- The childish name turns some people off, but it's a lovely anime with a fairytale feel. Very enjoyable.

I've always felt that overrated/underrated topics are a little snobbish. In a way it suggests that anyone who doesn't share your exact taste in entertainment is crazy and/or wrong. I'd much rather have a topic about a specific show and to discuss the pros and cons of it without resorting to the equivalent of, "I don't know how people can like this show because -I- don't like it!"
Overrated
Metalocalypse: Even the greatest heavy metal can't make up for a repetitive and pointless story.
Naruto: So...he's a ninja....and he wears orange?
Family Guy: How long can one show survive on 80's refrences?
Robot Chicken: Family Guy on auto-pilot.
Underrated
Arthur: This show has been on the air for over ten seasons because of some of the best writing for children's animation ever. Far more than just your average kid show.
Megas XLR: I feel like this was appealing to the wrong demographic.
The Emperor's New School: YES, it doesn't have all the original voices, but it's still a darn good show.

I suppose I can see why you feel that way, yeah. After all, my "Why FG?" post did conjure those reactions. But, I don't know if the topic is meant to be snobbish. Rather, a gauge of shows we as a community may have consensus on regarding attention.

Actually I liked that topic you made because you weren't saying "I hate this show and I can't fathom why it's so popular!"; you were asking people why they liked the show, so it looked like you were wanting to gain some perspective.

My topic wasn't meant to be snobbish at all. The point wasn't to bash any shows. It is possible to like something but still think it's overrated. I liked the first few seasons of Family Guy but now I feel that it's terribly overrated, people quote it to death.
And and I'm curious why some people said AD: Jake Long is overrated. Are you kidding? Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean it's overrated. Not trying to be rude, I just don't understand where you got that from.
