Over the air provisioning??

I read on here that if all you want to do is download wallpapers and ring tones, then all you need is over the air provisioning? I am able to down load with my 730 from nextels site but my GF is not. She has the nascar 736. I have an earth icon on my screen, GF does not. I DO NOT subscribe to a web plan and neither does she. She tells me that when she first got her phone she called nextel and told them that she does not want internet,(because she saw the earth icon on her screen, and figured she was being charged for internet) and since then her globe or earth icon has been gone from her screen. I take it that because of her call to nextel, that is why she cant wirelessly download. Can over the air provisioning be turned back on by myself or nextel? Thanks.
 
so you are saying that you still have the internet or "globe" on your phone? if you still have this and you find a way to do free over air downloads, just put your sim card into your GF phone. this will still have the internet and it will put the "globe" onto the screen in her phone. then you can download away. and oncer you are finished, just change sim cards back to normal and all the downloads will stay on her phone. all downloads are on the phone, not sim card.
 
I guess that would work. I wasnt even looking for free downloads, just looking for some stuff from nextels site to put on her phone. Now if we temporarily swapped sim cards, I take it that i would still have to enter my phone number in the space provided on NEXTELs site even though the download will go on her phone? and therefor I wind up with the bill. B**CH is always getting money from me somehow or other!!! Correct???
