Outlook sync problem

I have looked through all former questions like this on the forum; but the problems were not identical.
I use T3 with DateBk5 (latest issue) and sync with WinXP home running OutlookXP (kept updated from Ms). I have kept the Palm Conduits updated.
I have set the conduit to "handheld wins", as I have decided to use the T3 as the master input source.
With irregular intervals, I suddenly find a number of appointments missing after sync. Luckily I have been able to restore everything from my BackupBuddy; but it is very annoying.
I have not the faintest idea, what causes the problem; but I suspect the Palm conduits are not as good, as they should be?
With my former devices (M100, M500, TT) the sync was taken care of by a program from Chapura, and it worked every time.
Chapura offers a program "PocketMirror ProfessionalXT. Has anybody tried this, and is it a better choice than the included software?
Please give me Your experience on this matter, or explain, what I do wrong at my present setup.
It is irritating to have to perform a backup before every sync to feel secure!

To put it bluntly, the Palm Outlook conduits are crap. They are full of bugs and they will suddenly get corrupted for no apparent reason.

If you want to have all the updated features of the T3 PIM apps, PM Pro XT will sync all the new fields and categories. If you're satisfied with the data you got from Outlook on your previous Palms, you can just pull out the CD for your T|T, install PM and then update to the latest standard version with a free download from the Chapura web site. Either way, using Pocket Mirror will work much better than the Palm Outlook conduits.

Thank You for the good advise.
I have studied the Chapura site once moore and I feel, that the PM XT will meet my needs better than the PM pro.
I only have one problem left - how do I remove/disable the conduits coming from Palm? Must I remove and reinstall the whole Palm package, or will the PM just override it?
To remove the Palm software and reinstall it is very tiresome, last time it took me several evenings to make it work properly, but maybe this was due to the conduits?

Installing Pocket Mirror will automatically handle the deletion of the existing Palm conduits.

If for any reason, (and I can't imagine why you would) ever go back to the original Palm conduits.....then would need the Palm Desktop installation disc to re-establish those Palm conduits.

Thank You both for good advise
Yesterday I installed my old PM from the TT, and when I tried to upgrade it (free version), I found out, that I could get the XT at half price as an update.
Now I am up and running, and hopefully this will be a more stable solution.
