Outlook 2003 hotsync

Ok, first let me say I am quite tech savvy, and I have no problem understanding how technology works. However, I have spent the last 3+ hours trying to get my damn palm TX to hotsync with outlook, and I am getting nothing. I have the outlook conduit installed, and it is being used instead of the palm desktop. In the custom settings of the hotsync all the outlook sections are enabled. Somehow I have gained a handheld synchronization folder in outlook, but it contains nothing. Nothing is syncing up at all. Here is the log from my last few hotsyncs.

As you can see, it completely ignores the outlook conduits. It doesn't even attempt them. I have no idea what is going on, and I would greatly appreciate any help. Oh and outlook is fully updated and patched.

What does Hot Sync show under Custom? It should show syncing to Outlook for all of the 4 PIM conduits.

If you have a handheld note in Outlook that's a good thing but I'd suspect these conduits are turned off, somehow.

under custom...

Memos(Outlook) - Synchronize files
Calendar(Outlook) - Synchronize files
Contacts(Outlook) - Synchronize files
Tasks(Outlook) - Synchronize files

That is exactly how it is set up. :(

Well, the log doesn't show that they are trying to sync.

Turn off the Addit conduit - set it to "do nothing" and lets see what the next log shows.

Do you have more than one Outlook profile on your PC? It's possible that you have have more than one and it's attempting to sync to the other one, maybe.

On the PC: go to control panel and then mail and then see how many profiles you are using or have. Be certain that the profile you are using is the one that the TX is trying to access - with Outlook closed - go to hot sync and then custom and try and change one of the conduits and it should ask you for which profile - be certain to select the profile that contains your Outlook data.

That is with addit turned off. I have one outlook profile, and it is selected in the outlook conduits. This is such a strange problem.

The conduit for Outlook is not on -

I'd suggest reinstalling the desktop via the installation disc. Since there is no attempt via the conduit to even initiate the PIM conduits, I'd say that Windows just missed it.

Be certain when you attempt the reinstall - have your Anti Virus software disabled.....especially if it's norton anti virus. It has a tendency to prevent a full install.
