Outliner for TT3

I'm a journalist and I like to write TO DO lists that end up turning into brainstorms and outlines for stories. I'd really like to be able to do them and have them on my palm pilot. Right now I use the Handmark Checklist program that Palmgear gave away for free.

What in your opinions are the best outlining programs.

I'm really considering Bonsai 3 by Natara and Ultrasoft Brainforest.

What do you guys think of those? Any others that are better?

Although I have not used the programs extensively, I know that Brainforest has been around for a long time. I don't know much about Bonsai.

I think Progect (yes, that's the correct spelling) does a very credible job at outlining and also links to the Palm to do list. Best of all, it's free. You should at least give it a try.

I used Progect for quite a while - Rick Price is a tremendous guy. However - the desktop interface never worked right so I NEXT DAY AIRED THE $$$ to Natara and purchased BONSAI.

Oh my God . . . absolutely AMAZING. The colors on the Palm and the ability of the app will impress you right away . . . then you FIRE UP THE PERFECTLY SYNCED desktop version and you're REALLY impressed.

I've been bashing Iambic lately - well here's an example of something DONE RIGHT - in fact, done perfectly. The updates are free, there are little "tweaks" here and there to make it better and better, the program has NEVER crashed on me despite heavy usage AND running it in flash, and best of all for me, it's a pleasure to sync and work on the PC version if I want too.

The synch, by the way, is the FASTEST I've ever seen - really a "blip on the screen" rather than progress bars etc. -- lightning fast and flawless over (in my case) about 2 dozen outlines/lists/etc.

Progect is good for free and I used it a lot - but I doubled my usage when I got Bonsai - it's a pleasure to use, color, not "funky," and the interface is terrific.

I'd get Bonsai and not hesitate a second.

I've tried both Shadow Plan and Bonsai and ended up paying for Bonsai. It just seemed more intuitive than Shadow. I love it!

Intuitive it is.

I looked briefly at Shadow Plan and it did seem good if you DIDN'T HAVE Bonsai - however Bonsai is just SOOO good it's very well worth the $$$ - and that's from someone who's really down on $40 applications these days!!
