I want to build an outdoor stone or brick bar for near my pool. Nothing too fancy. Didnt need a sink or anything like that. Just something people can sit at to have a few drinks by the pool.

Does anyone know of any places to obtain plans on such a project? Though of even using granite for top.

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks for the great tips. I thought of building a framework out of pressure treated lumber and then a brick or stone type of covering on that. How thick of a concrete pad do you think i would need?

its would be fairly simple for you to do yourself.
if you have a pool, you probably have power in a shed or garage near by. consider running conduit from there to your bar! then you can have lights or music, or something.
some take some measurments, and draw up a simple shape.
i would first lay a concrete pad.
then, if you want brick, you could either build the whole thing from brick, or build it from would or concrete block, and veneer it with brick.
same thing goes for stone - build it from pressure treated wood or concrete block.
another option is alot of outdoor stores sell "built in" BBQ and bar areas. some even come with fridges. you could probably find one, minus the BBQ or fridge. good luck.

or if you want to save money, you could build the whole thing from wood. you could still have a granite top.
